Guidelines for presenters

All participants are invited to submit abstracts for presentations which fall within the scope of the conference. They should mark their preference for oral or poster presentation in the PDF registration form (please see Registration & Payment section for further details). Each registered presenting author is allowed to submit only one abstract.

All submitted abstracts will be evaluated and finally selected for poster or oral presentation by the organising committee and participants will be notified on this decision in due time.

All the conference abstracts will be published as a supplement issue of Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai, Biologia. For more details, please see the Symposium publications section.

Guidelines for oral presentation

Oral presentation will have a dedicated 20 min time slot (15 min + 5 min discussion). The presenters should keep strictly the time of their talks.

Multimedia for using presentations in .pptx (Power Point) or .pdf formats will be available on site. The presenters will be asked to upload their files at the latest during a break before the session in which their talks are scheduled, and preferably in the morning before the start of the sessions. The files can be brought on a USB memory card or personal notebook.

The presentation files should keep a reasonably low size, to avoid problems with handling.

Guidelines for poster presentation

During the Poster sessions, presenters are expected to stand by their poster to discuss their research with other participants. Dedicated poster sessions will be planned. Additionally, the poster presentations will continuously be available for viewing during the Symposium, close to the coffee breaks’ area.

Poster authors are responsible for printing and bringing their posters to the Symposium. Each poster presenter will mount his/her poster on a dedicated (pre-marked) board. It is the authors’ responsibility to set-up their poster, but the assistance of the organisers will be available if needed. Materials for poster fixing will be available.

Poster size should not exceed 80 cm in width and 100 cm in length to fit well on boards.

Authors are encouraged to print several copies of their posters in A4 format to distribute among interested participants.
